Steve Eckels has earned certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
He's written a teacher's handbook, entitled Teaching Classroom Guitar, published in 2009.
His custom teaching materials include the Guitar Essentials series and two Guitar Ensemble volumes.

Steve is a Member of Northwest Montana Wedding & Event Professionals.
His solo guitar repertoire enables him to perform for special events in the Flathead Valley. He is an active liturgical musician.

Steve's professional and artistic mission has been to write and publish music for enjoyment by guitar students.
To this end he has published fourteen book/CD sets for Mel Bay Publications. He has been the guitar instructor for Flathead High School in Kalispell, Montana since 2000.
